Google Analytics is a great place to start, but it has some obvious shortcomings:
1. It only works for data within your site. There is no direct way to compare your performance with others within analytics. In a way this is helpful because you can work on directing traffic and various campaigns without worrying about your competitors’ business intelligence.
2. Google is not the number one search engine in every country or industry.
3. WordPress only gives you access to Google Webmaster tools- not analytics (sigh).

So far, my favorite internet business analytics tool is BIZSHARK, but I am still looking for comparable services.
Any suggestions?
