I’ll be honest. I’m not a fashionista, but I think Hauls are a brilliant social media platform for fashion retailers. Since this Good Morning America video, the genera has flourished.
It is a basic concept: online “haul” videos that feature young women sitting before webcams, sharing with the world everything the bought or “hauled” home, from the mall.
A little risky for retailers and brands because of the honesty factor- not as much control over content as in traditional media- but then again, that authenticity drives viewers. And builds the brand community.
